Timeless Treasures that tell a story
The perfect way to showcase Family Heirlooms, The interests you have and What you love to do!
Debbie
This Picture of Debbie is not your average portrait. The family heirlooms connect her to the past while many of the other items help tells the story of who Debbie is.
We shall start this story with family treasures from the past.
The Singer Sewing Machine belonged to Debbie's Great Grandmother Double.
Sitting on the sewing machine in version one is a picture of Debbie's Father and Mother. These two amazing people helped make Debbie the person that she is today and the parents she will always hold in her heart. Version two is a picture of Debbie as a baby and her oh so adorable little sister:). (Which just happens to be me. lol)
The little patchwork bear in the basket was made from her grandmother's old quilt that was falling apart. Debbie's Grandmother passed away before Debbie was even born but that little bear connects them. The quilt top that Debbie is working on was also created by her grandmother.
The Collector
Debbie is a collector. A few of the items she collects are clocks, movies, walking sticks, and "The Night Before Christmas " books.
If you have ever been in Debbie's house you will know that she loves clocks. There are several clocks displayed throughout her house and every clock has a story to tell.
The Gnomes are probably the most recent addition to Debbie's collectibles. Not just any gnome can be added to her little collection. The little gnome has to make her fall in love with him before he can join the others.
If you ask her children, grandson, nieces and nephews what she is best known for it would be "The Night Before Christmas". books that she collects. For as long as I can remember Debbie reads this story to all of the children and adults at our Christmas Eve Celebration. Every baby born in our family has received this special book from Debbie so that they may have one of their own. This is a family tradition that the children will always remember.
Now we showcase what Debbie loves to do.
Debbie loves to do many things but the two things she wanted to include in this portrait was reading and movies. I am pretty sure Debbie could open her own little library and if you want a good movie you just have to go to Debbie's.
Last but not least her little buddy!
Meet Charlie, This is Debbie's little buddy and companion so of course he was included in this very special Keepsake Portrait.

This just happens to be the same picture as the first with one small difference. The picture on Debbie's Great Grandmother's sewing machine is the picture. Debbie asked if it would be possible to add this picture to her timeline.
