Kaylee's Destination Senior Pictures at Mansfield Reformatory, Mansfield Ohio
I met Kaylee a couple of years ago when I had the pleasure of photographing her for a teen wildflower session. During this session we discussed what some great locations for photo sessions would be and the Mansfield Prison Session was top on our list. Fast forward to this spring and I decided to sign up for the annual Ohio State Professional Photographers Mansfield Prison Photographers Day. To my delight when I offered this amazing opportunity to 2023 Seniors, Kaylee, who is now a high school senior at Mars High School, was the first person to sign up!
The photo session took place on June 6th at the Mansfield Prison and it was everything that we could wish for! Kaylee selected two gowns from my senior wardrobe closet as well as 3 outfits of her own. We were able to photograph outside the prison before the event began and than we spent the whole evening photographing inside the abandoned prison.

This Former Ohio Prison Is Thought To Be One Of The Most Haunted Places On Earth
The Ohio State Reformatory other wise known as the Mansfield Reformatory is an abandoned prison in Mansfield, Ohio. The prison was built between before 1910 and It was open until 1990. The Federal Court ordered it closed due to its inhumane conditions.
It has been a favorite for TV movies including The Shawshank Redemption (1994). It is also one of the most haunted facilities on earth.
